The mission of
ACIMTV is to provide accessible online spiritual resources to the Deaf
community. The vision is to attain the mission by providing ASL video
lessons from ACIM and a v/blog for sharing and discussing our
thoughts/insights based on ACIM teachings.
What is A Course in
Miracles?
It is a self-study course, a universal
spiritual teaching and scripture of love and forgiveness. The Course focuses on
the healing of relationships of self and others. It also emphasizes that it is
not a religion but one path among many, all of which lead to One Truth, One
Love, One Name, God.
The
root "tele" means distance, and "vision" means
act or power of sensing with eyes or sight. The ACIM video clips, created
and signed in ASL by Rev. Jill Lestina, are presented here for the benefit
of the Deaf community nationwide. For those who are not familiar with ASL
(American Sign Language), it is a visual language considered most natural
to the Deaf; it involves signing hands, body language and facial
expressions.

Self-Study Spiritual Discipline
A Course in Miracles is a
self-study discipline. It is recommended that you read the Course;
however, the video clips are made available to those who may find reading
the Course confusing or difficult. ACIMTV.com is intended only as an aid
for anyone who wishes to learn and practice the Course.
